MoliroMan
No problems Ged. I only have 9 moliro at 2 cm to donate at the moment. Let me know when u want them? Come on guys, anyone else would like to make a donation for the cause? Imagine a school without a tank of tropheus swimming around? Maybe they will go home and tell their parents they want a tank full of tropheus? I can feel a sub-forum coming on?

MoliroMan
Ged...that display tank and fishroom looks perfect for starting a tropheus production unit! Josh...awesome yellow tropheus! keep the photos coming! I had the privilege of visiting Aline and Matt this weekend. I thank u both again for your kindness and hospitality! I felt so welcome and didn't want to leave! The new fishroom is looking amazing and needs to be seen to be believed. I think they should post some pics up of the completed room. Matt has a few novel ideas from coil denitrators to bristlenose hotels/caves to automatic water changing! Thanks for the tips and ideas!!!! Your generosity is most appreciated! Unfortunately my time was limited since i had other arrangements so only managed to take some half acceptable photos. But i am sure Aline will allow me to take some more in the future!!! TropheusQueen
hey hey Dave, It was wonderful to have you and your delightful wife visit our home you know you always have an open invitation. Matty is very innovative and creative so there is always something in the pipeline -that doesn't always meet aesthetic standards but works brilliantly. The photos came up a treat considering we were all in the room at the time moving around the T's obliged long enough for you to get some stills Speak soon. parrdog
Josh, those adults look awesome mate . The yellow they have is as bright as. Is there a reason why you have a juvenile Nkonde colony as well? Are these being grown to sell as a more established colony? Thanks for the pics mate, it was good to check 'em out again. I agree with your pm message, us Troph freaks need to get together soon . Good luck with your fishroom, I hope it's goin' unreal! Dave and Aline, Trophs and pics are very impressive, glad you had fun down south in the "lolly shop" (Aline's fishroom) Dave . Hope everyone's tanks aren't getting too hot, speak soon, Jamie. Ged
Absolutely superb photo Luke. What filtration system are you using to get water clarity like that?
Luke
Are you certain you just didn't release them into the pool it does look a bit like that I took the pic by squatting down pointing the camera looking upwards from the bottom of the tank , the only filtration on the tank ( 4x16(h)x18(w) ) is the humble box filter ( 3 of ) which have a slight modification by adding uplifts to the filters which greatly increase the flow rate

sycho zebra
Hey guys and gals, Just wondering what types of rocks you use, is it limestone orr sandstone as i am a new converted tropheus keeper. what are these rocks worth ? David
MoliroMan
Hi David, welcome to the T club! Most of us use limestone rocks but some use sandstone. Some people like Nigel recommend no reactive substrates or rocks in the tank since the Seachem buffer/salts can make the kH/gH unstable. The limestone rocks u get in Oz are around $5 per kg. Merjo (Andrea) from Perth has some nice limestone rocks for sale but will need to be shipped over. I bought some Texas Holey Rocks directly from texas - these can cost an arm and a leg for shipping depending on the weight of the rock! Let us know what u choose. sycho zebra
thanks for that Dave what I would also like to know is if 3-5mm gravel is ok too, I am setting up my 4x2x18 for the Tropheus but i need to cycle the tank first b4 i go out and get the little beuaties, I will be putting some fish in there temporarily untill it is cycled so it will be a small journey
