Canon EOS400D, 50MM F1.8 and Canon 24-70MM F2.8, tank lighting only. I'll sort them by tanks: 140G Rio Essequibo, Guyana Biotope 9x Satanoperca leucosticta 20x Hyphessobrycon rosaceus "Rosy Tetra" 28x Hemigrammus erythrozonus "Glowlight Tetra" 7x Corydoras panda (WTB Corydoras melanistius) Dominant male (sexually mature, 15.5cm TL) Flirting between a sub-dominant male (or possibly female) and breeding female, while the male was holding. 75G Rio Tapajos/Rio Amazonas Biotope 6x Geophagus sp. "Araguaia Orange Head" (3M 3F) 42x Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis "Lemon Tetra" 8x Nannostomus beckfordi "Golden Pencilfish" 8x Corydoras julii 5x Otocinclus hoppei Male from the primary breeding pair. Second, although probably dominant male, has quite the temper and likes beating up women. Anyway, I'll save you all some bandwidth and stop there, thanks for looking. The Orange Heads jetted up to size but the leucosticta just sort of crept along, and then I measured the dominant male, who's very similar in size to a few other specimens, and he's just over 15cm/6" TL. In a bit of a rush I've blacked out a few in focus specs just above the fish and hadn't cleaned it up properly, should look better now . Currently still using tap water, have access to tank water but the Sunshine Coast water supply is fantastic for Americans. Substrate is Double-Washed Play Sand from Bunnings. japes Posted April 4, 2010 Author Share Posted April 4, 2010 Bit of a bump from the dead. Filtration on the Orange Head setup, which no longer exists, was an Eheim Pro + Eheim Classic. These are now running two dwarf tanks, and in that setups place is a 6x2x2. (Colours are out :/) Other setups: 3x18x18 Rio Tapajos Flooded Woodland Biotope w/ D. maculatus and H. heliacus - clear now.
