lloydashton
Thought i would share my new fish room design and progress pics. The whole room will be run by 2 LP100s as each tank has air driven side drop filters. Below is what i hope the room ends up like. I have one side up so far. The first few racks, all built by James at Caramels fishy friends (sponsor),And with tanks, all tanks built by Michael Ellis on the gold coast. Chuckmeister
Nice one lloyd, how big are the tanks, 6x2x18 and the other row 4x2x18?2 lp100's thats quite a bit of air. Are you going to pvc plumb the air around the room? You probably dont need to in QLD but did you seal around the roller door gaps? What do you plan on filling all that wonderful tank space with?Good so see you have left yourself additional space for more tanks

The Row completed is 6 5x2x18s and 3 4x2x18s, the other side to be competed will be 6x2x18s.I have plumbed PVC behind the first rack to get these tanks going, the plan is to create a circuit around the room, with one LP100 on each end, so if one fails the other will still work until i can replace the other. Yes i have put seals around the roller door, im in ipswich, in winter we get 0 degree nights and summer gets 45 degree days so do not want any out side air in. Ged
Lloyd the new room looks great. I particularly like the isometric drawings. James and Michael's work is clearly of a high standard.

Donny Brasco
also keen to see how you do the side drop filters, do you find them to be far more efficient than say a typical sponge filter?

Can be filled with what ever media you like, and keep the water crystal clear.
