friendlyburger
On of my peacocks has developed a cloud eye with a white squilly line thru it. It started to show last night and is heaps worse today. Is it a disease or injury? (one of my other peacocks has bite marks on him) cheers jake
ChrisNorris
Hi Jake, Cloudy eyes are usually a sign of a bacterial infection Sounds like your peacocks may have had a disagreement Other than that, great looking fish
prosavage
It looks like it's been infected pretty bad, no matter if it's injured or diseased itself I'd separate it and give it an anti-biotic treatment
GundamCichlid
I use Pimafix for my Kadango cloudy eye. It helps. Good louck for the treatment
CThompson
Melafix (=primafix?) can/may (?) fix this if gotten early. Without treatment the fish will lose the eye.
Noddy65
White eyes can be caused by about a million different thing (well, maybe not a million things). Its often a result of water 'leaking' into the normally clear surface of the cornea. If the damage isnt too bad or an ongoing condtion it will heal. Of more concern is the size of the eye...does the fish also have a swollen eye? It seems to have a swollen eye in the picture? NatV
My cuban developed cloudy eye in both eyes (the poor guy could not see through the white haze)- I isolated him and then used melafix and pimafix together, with small water changes every day. It did clear up completely and he is now back to his old self.
