Guest big bad burundi

Maybe the fact that you have the water going in circles faster than a tornado may have something to do with. :):

Id doubt the fish get to the food before the filters gobble it up in my opinion anyway :): .

What you have in tank would be a help to know also . :)

Aswell as how long tank has been running for ,and how long fish been in tank and such would be a big help. :wub

Hi,

These are probably stupid questions but:

Is the substrate dirty?

Have you used in water soluble glues that haven't cured?

Is the front of the tank slimey causing an opaque view?

Is the food particle size large enough for the fish?

Is your filter clogged?

Don't know if this helps

back to basic details

what fish and size of fish are they

the water condition also is ok (nitrate, amonnia, and the PH is good)....

this is a meaningless phrase unless you give the readings

How long has the tanks been running

are either of the filters new

have you done a major water change lately

did you use crushed coral as substrate

sounds like a bacteria bloom after a water change where the filter bacteria count is low

My mother-in-law experiences the same thing in her tanks straight after a water change from the tap.

If you're doing water changes straight from the tap, then I would suggest ageing it in a drum with aeration for atleast a week before adding the water to your tank.

Cheers,

Bit.

I also suspect bacterial bloom (if it's cloudy white); often happens when your tank is only recently cycled, and you do a large water change. What happens is that you are almost restarting the cycling process.

hey guys......

the filter was running on another tank and i simply removed it without cleaning and set it on the small tank.....

the ph is 7.5

nitrate : 0

amonnia: 0

and i did add a bit of gravel over the old one that i had.. but i washed it......

water change i didn't do ......

pellets are good size for the fish.....

fish are: 2 severums about 11 cm......

filtration is good for the fish.... because it's turnned the upper way......

the tank is being running with the old filter for about 3 weeks.... but 3 days ago i added the new power head... but it was running in my cuzs tank.......

the water looks heaps better than yesterday :)..... now it's heaps more clear....

any help ???????

what can i do if it's a bacteria bloom ????????

thx in adv.

I agree with Dave; just leave it. I still remember when I first started, and worried about the cloudy water. Wasted quite a bit of money on products that worked at best temporarily; it then went away byitself. I now actually look for the cloudy water to get an indication when cycling is well under way (unless it's a heavily planted tank).
