GundamCichlid
Hello, In my understanding, purigen is used for clearing up the yellowish color from the driftwood. Do you need it in the rock substrate tank??? if anyone has a good experience in using it. Please share your thoughts Thanks

MVP
Hello, In my understanding, purigen is used for clearing up the yellowish color from the driftwood. Do you need it in the rock substrate tank??? if anyone has a good experience in using it. Please share your thoughts Thanks Its designed for use in your filter. works a treat and far superior to activated carbon in clearing up water but on top of all this it also helps with ammonia, nitrite and even nitrate. cooder
Personally, i use Geo-Liquid. But it should do the same job. You dont actually NEED it but if u have tannin filled water its good. it should clear up all contaminants. Cooder
fullychichlid
I swear by it. If you watch my vid you will see a massive piece of driftwood in my tank. My water is crystal clear. I recharge my Purgien once every Ten days thars how much Tannin comes out of this mangrove root. I use it in my Weir. My weir is full of Bio Balls with a sponge at the top. I sit the Purgien over the sponge and the water passes through it.
