cooder
Hey, What are the possibilities of Five bar frontosa going with smaller species of Tangs in a std 4 ft? The fish that they would go with would be lemon cichlids, fairy cichlids, cyps and julies. If so how many could go in?? Would there be any special requirements like all of one gender?? Cooder Cyps = fronnie food in the wild... Probably not the best idea, but I think some on the forum haven't had problems with mixes such as that. I wouldn't do it, but that's my opinion . brucem
Trets aren't that cheap these days either! Trets can get pretty agro with each other and other fish, particularly if a pair decide to breed. In my experience, one is OK. Bruce
cooder
Thankyou for comments, i actually looked them up on google after i posted this (silly thing to do ) and it said they arnt a very nice fish. they are EXTREMELY beautiful!!! but agressive I think that maybe a pair in my sized tank would do great but only without other fish. it said that you would have to have a VERY large tank to house them with other species. I should have looked them up first. Well that answers my question... Cooder
Link2Hell
From my experiences with Trets the aggression is between themselves and the other fish aren't harrassed that much unless they are breeding Chris
dogboy
Five bar Front??? do you mean Neolamprologus tretocephalus aka poor mans fronts?? you obviously havent seen the price of trets in Adelaide, that is if you can actually find one, at least two to three times what you pay for a frontosa
dobbin4
Trets are hard to get in Sydney as well,$$'s also hard to get nice ones. Size of tank, fish size & all those things need to be known before you decide
