Josh
You will be lucky to find anyone willing to risk it. The cost would be huge if you could.
Buccal
There are transportation removalists in Perth (not many), but a few that have tank transportation in there specialty list.I got all of Vebas ex quarantine tanks 33 x 11 to 12 foot tanks delivered to my house 1.5 hours away for $1800,,, absolute bargain. Some of those tanks are 800mm wide to !!!Oh and all the stands to mind you.. PlecoSam
The aquarium manufacturer in Bris had one lined up and the costs were quite reasonable, but it fell through now I am in no mans land. Oh well, looks like that I am off for a nice drive :-). It is a shame that there are no good manufacturers in Townsville, all the same crap in shops and not much larger stuff. A local tank manufacturer whom made mine burnt me with the amateur build quality so for a display tank am not going back to Clownsville.

t3v0r0
Surely the aquarium manufacturer would have a few contacts for transport?Would be kind of annoying to order a tank and they do not offer a means to transport it.
PlecoSam
Yeah but they were being unprofessional etc, the transport companies that is, Tank should be arriving on Monday.
jcsongei
Probably too late for this time, but I have moved house a few times with an 8.5 foot tank and used one of those small budget rental trucks you can drive with a normal license $85 for 24 hour weekday hire + fuel. Just need a couple people to help lift each time.

Teamsherman
I was going to recommend Toll Transport as they contract for the Defence Force with relocations and would have heaps of trucks going up and down the coastline of QLD with Brissy, Townsville and a few other major towns there accomodating a fair few different Defence bases and I've known quite a few guys who have had them move tanks for them. Not sure on cost though as the Defence used to pick up the tab as part of the posting requirements.
