Dark Morelia
Hey Guys and Gals, this is my first post in the Labyrinth fish forum These 2 fishies are my Mum's, and they live in a std 2' with some small angels and some Bristlenose. They were advertised in the shop as "Orange Flame Dwarf Gourami" and "Honey Dwarf Gourami"... but i didn't think it was a Honey, so we got one of each so i could see exactly what they are. We've had them about 3 weeks, and they never hide, they're constantly zooming about happily. This is the "Orange Flame Dwarf Gourami" about 5cm, sorry for the blurry pic, but he never stops moving He was much redder in the shop, and he didn't have that yellow on the anal fin when we bought him either. And the other one.. claimed to be a "Honey Dwarf Gourami" about 2 or 3cm. They kinda looked like they might even be a male and female of the same species to me. Can anyone tell us what species' they are ? Cheers, Andy
Cannula
I don't know much about gouramis sorry, but the top one looks like what I know as a Dwarf Flame Honey Gourami. Neither (especially the bottom fish) seems true to me.
anchar
Hi Andy, I haven't seen any true honey gouramis around for many years...most seem to be hybrids being produced in Asia. merjo
