Fishy Bits
I am running a Hagen Maxima. it has a double outlet and i single outlet doesn't seem to run this 90 cm air curtain. i have had it on some older smaller air pumps and it has split the diaphrams on each of them. I have taken it of the new Hagen as it only seemed to be releasing a small line of bubbles from the begging of the air curtain(Black rubber hose with lots of small holes). Thought it must have split a diaphram in the new hagen aswell. i then tried on both outlets and still not much air came from the curtain...? Barca888
How long do you soak the curtain before turning it on?
Fishy Bits
There was never any instruction to soak it. I initially had a small air pump on it and air bubbles were pooring out of it (curtain like) and 3 months later it just stopped. except for one or two trickles of air... Ducksta
My guess is it has become blocked. Alot of the cheaper air curtains/stones have a very short lifespan.
Fishy Bits
you would think it would be easier for the air to push through the blockages rather than build pressure and rupture a diaphram... thanks guys
Barca888
Some where along the way i was told you have to let them soak for a while and then turn the air pump on. No idea if this is needed.
Guest Gutty
Simple solution, take a pin and prick more holes in it. It's made out of a porus(sp?) rubber, which can swell if left to soak in water for long enough. So go poke like crazy for a few minutes, if thats not doing it for ya try somthing bigger like a sharp nail. hope that helps Matt
