Hello,

I've grown out some lwanda peacocks and have 1 male and 6 females. The first lot of fry I've got have been to 50 50 mix and white albino looking fry and normal looking peacock fry.. any ideas why? The male looks perfect and they all come from the same store... inbread?

@Aquaman2567

my guess is one of 2 things has happened

1). if the male is true to type then one of the females may not be

you may need to single out the female that has produced the albino

fry, she could have mixed genetics

2). They may have developed an albino chromosome and you have

managed to produce albino Llawanda

you could ask the LFS if they all came from the same breeder or

if they came from a wholesaler

only time can answer the questions by growing them out to confirm

and then breed the albino back to one of it's siblings to strengthen the

albino genes

do you have pics of the breeders and the fry ?

They came aquarium central. The male looks very nice with nice reflective blues and yellow. It's hard to coment of the females. They just look like typical peacock females. They came in the same shipment.  So I'm guessing it was the same batch.. what you think of the photos?
