RonnyM Posted August 20, 2014 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Hi all, Haven't posted in a while and thought I'd share some of my Cubans Picked these guys up at around 3-4cm in May and have found them to be very fast growing!In just over 3 months, the dominant fish have grown to around 10-11cm and have started breeding What I find most interesting is the difference in colour and pattern during spawning behaviour. This is what the fish in the tank that aren't breeding but are around the same size look like.Dominant male before breeding. Dominant male in breeding dress. Female before breeding. Female during breeding. Female tending to eggs.Male taking on female colour while guarding fry. (same fish from pics 2 & 3 )Pair Just before breeding. Some fat brine fed fry. These guys have been doing very well in the fry saver and were recently moved into their own tank to make way for batch number two Currently have lots of fry growing out and growing quite fast.
