Are they that aggressive that i would have problems with other fish ???

I have a 4"2"2" tank and currently have 1 frontosa about 10cm in length. 2 Red emperas about 15cm each in length and 3 princess bacardis about 3-4cm. (hope i spelt and got there names right )

I just loved the look of this fish but dont want introduce this breed if its not advised to do so.

Cheers BMR

I would keep away from the jag if I was you It will grow to around 30-35cm & eat anything that will fit in its mouth.

The brichardis wouldn't last long at all.Being american the jag would require different water conditions than your other fish.

P. managuense are Central American and grow large

water parameters are 7.4-8.0 pH similar to Malawi

100-250 ppm hardness

not recommended to be housed together with the Tang's & Malawi's

you already have

basic rule of thumb is if it will fit in the mouth it will be eaten

Tanganyikans can be kept in simllar water parameters

although a lot will run tanks at higher pH and hardness

can you advise pH and hardness of the tank

if the fish is happy all is well

note the Brichardi may need to be moved or rock piles for

cover added when the Frontosa get bigger

the more aggressive type like maybe flowerhorns or something like that as link to hell said its not recommended to be housed together with the Tang's & Malawi's i would just stick to africans and ship on the jag you will have nothing but trouble if you keep them together...
