I also bought a couple of boxes of escargot shells from someone who was selling them on the forum. I think his name was Ben.I've found the escargot shells to be the best.Cheers. GlennC Posted November 28, 2011 Share Posted November 28, 2011 I don't know whether it is legal or not to do so, but if you get down to the beach, look amongst the rocks for the empty shells. There's this type that are sort of green coloured and turban shaped. They lose all colour when old, but still look niceI have used the escargot shells in the past without problem, but find the other shells better in that they are heavier and the multis don't move them around so much.
