Newo
I catch mine out on the 3rd week. I put them in foaties and leave them until they spit... most of the time they spit as they go in. If you can see their throat getting dark, you know its time.
Lee Miller
Hi Ben How long is "..a while.."? I keep mainganos, but I'm pretty slack when it comes to keeping track of how long fish have held for. I usually try to strip them after about 7 days and don't like to let them hold for more than 10 days. I hope this helps. Cheers,

CThompson
For future reference, for next time. I usually leave them at a minumum of 10 days. At ten day they will have heads and tails, and will not need tumbleing. If I leave it longer than that it will mean I get more fish and less egg, burt the female will take longer to produce more eggs. Craig
