malawi4me
Gday all Been setting up my 8x2.5x2 tank and its almost finished...Will post pics of the setup once I place the new hood and lights on...looks crap all dark without lights. Was taking some pics of the fish today and one of my fish I need an ID on.... I was told when I purchased him he was a Maingano.... Im thinking he is a M.Johannii (think thats the spelling). The funny part is he is very large... in fact close to the largest in the tank at about 18 or 19cm long and built like a brick S.house! Look forward to what the pros think about him.... here he is first up here are a few randoms while i was shooting at the mystery fish Hope you guys like the pics, i know they are nothing special but im bored tonight... Josh
Johanni. I agree the head profile looks wrong, but could be the angle of the shot.
intern1
i agree with the rest although were did you source the fish from it could be a hybrid also
fishthommo
I agree with most and say it is a very large chunky johannii. The head profile is a bit different, probably because it is such a large older fish.I don't think i've ever seen such a large johannii. Your fish are looking really good and i bet they love there new tank.
