superbad0417
hey all my convicts have spawned in my community tank in a terracotta pot and the eggs are stuck to the upper sides of the pot. My question is can the eggs be removed from the pot and into a fry net or something before they become dinner for my other fish or do i have to wait until they are free swimming to relocate them ? Ducksta
Better off moving the whole pot. However, convicts tend to be good parents, so it will probably be more successful to leave them in the tank, and siphon the 'wrigglers' when the mum starts moving them around a bit. cpfc
I think the other fish are more likely to become dinner for the parent convicts. I have seen them protecting young before and no one gets near.
