prosavage
Has anyone had any experience keeping them? Are they as hardy as their cousins, the normal ones? I'd love to get some of those, never seen any for sale in sydney though - both forums or LFSs
petshopdude
hey mate have see some ppl selling them on plecofantics, however have heard that they are harder to look after then the not so pretty brothers, also i have heard that if you breed them they will throw back to normal jacks, if some can shed some light on this that would be great as they are only things i have heard, no real proof. awersome fish think they are around $80 mark
RonnyM
There's quite a few for sale over here that come from over east somewhere. They're normally $60. You're right about breeding them, if you have two EBJD's they will produce normal looking JD's. To breed EBJD's you need one male EBJD and a normal JD female. Then you have to grow the fry, and seleect a female which will have the EB strain and then breed that female with the original EB male. Tricky stuff. HTH. RonnyM
Once a few peple start breeding their EBJD's the price should drop down a bit but who knows. Apparently they're not as agro as their normal counterparts, but that daoesnt mean theyre not agro lol.
