Cuong
I think a shortened version of the cannister ladder goes a little like this. Eheim > Via Aqua (or Aqua One now) > Aqua Pro. I've only used an Eheim so far, but I have put an order through for an Aqua One cannister. It was a choice between a Eheim Classic 2213, Aqua One CF, and an Aqua Pro. I figured the Aqua One would be a good balance of price and quality.

Josh
I only have via-aqua's in my tanks and have never had any problems. I would go up to the 1200 instead of the 1000. Its usually only 10 or 15 dollars more, if you get them online

D6C1
I am using a CF1500 along with an ehiem 2028 on my 6footer. I find that I have to clean the CF more regulary than the eheim. I dont have a problem with it though and would recommend it. Ita a pain to prime it, but you only have to do it once a few months
