hey guys....

i have some marble dust but it doesn't look nice in the tank.... it's too big.....

how can i crash it more so it can look like beach sand or coral sand ??????

what can i use to crash it into smaller pieces ????????? to become like sand ??????

I think marble dust is very small already. But if you want to make them smaller, try using blender (it is just my thought :D )

When you say Marble dust I assume you mean Pool dust?

My pool dust is much more fine than the coral sand I used to have. Either you have a different type of dust to me, or you have a super fine grade of coral sand.

My coral sand was never anything like beach sand, but the pool dust is nice and fine.

Maybe you washed it too thoroughly and took out everything except the bigger particles :o

the easiest way would be to go and buy some smaller stuff but if it is marble dust i think 'dust' is the smallest you can get. to crush it i guess you could use a hammer and a few hours or chuck it all in a cement mixer with a few round and hard rocks like river rocks or granit, don't know if it would work but it might.

Pool dust size of marble is the smallest size you can get - its like fine sand and when stirred and can easily get sucked into your filter inlets.

You probably have a larger size of marble chip.

Best to just buy a 25kg bag of pool dust size marble chip for $9.
