jimmilfish
Hi,would like to add 7 1 inch demasoni fry to my colony of 6 adult demasoni. My dominant male is 12 cm,do i have any chance or would i just be offering up a sacrafice? cheers jim
TropheusQueen
Hi Jim, A 12cm demasoni????? These guys grow to a maximum 6-7cm. If he is indeed 12cm long it would be a concern to add 2.5cm fry to the mix. Doubt they would be eaten but harrassment definately springs to mind. TropheusQueen
Hey hey, Lucky fish So glad that they have thrived under your care and that you're looking to grow the group. 12cm demasoni was a scary thought though Never thought i would say this but I miss the mountain air. Have a safe Christmas and a brilliant 2005. Cheers Aline
jimmilfish
Thanks Aline, same to you and matthew. The air is definately good here ,but i think the beach may just be better in your new area. All the best jim
Rol&Jas
Hi Jim, I have added 3.5cm fry to my existing colony that had a 6-7cm male. Unfortunately, some of the added fry got killed. Roland
Ducksta
I have added some 3-4cm fry back to my adults, with 100% success My tank is bigger than Rolands though ( at least bigger than the one his colony was in when I saw it?) I also have plenty of hidey holes and dithers/targets Just watch them closely and I think you'll be right.
