anchar Posted December 11, 2003 Share Posted December 11, 2003 Hi, Fry growth rate is comparable to other mbunas, and dependent on what food they receive. Batch sizes range according to the size, health and environmental conditions that the group is exposed to. Nutitional input that the fish receives will also influence the spawn size. IME the spawns have ranged from 15 to 70, but I'm sure others have had larger batches.
