Thanks mate! :D
noyd
I picked up two of these guys today! (Sexfasciatus) :DAlong with two Clown Loaches..They are getting along well, I also found out they get aggressive when they are hungry or looking for food.Apart from that, so far so good. After christmas I will have a 4' so things will only get better. noyd
I cannot determine wether they are gold or not yet, they are still tiny. But so far they seem silverish, lightly faded black bars. Will have some pics up in a few.
Geoffagus
I think that if you bought them as sexfasciatus you will find that they are gold. I don't think that the blue sexies are in Aust. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Spooky
I agree with Geoff as ive never seen blue sexies yet and if they were you wuld pay through the nose for them as they are pretty rare...
trofius
yes the blue sexfasciatus are rare mainly because to my knowledge they have not been breed in captivity yet. So yes they are expensive, because they are all imports from the lake! I think with the juvies of the gold variety the base of all their fins is yellow?? very pretty indeed. Exiledonmainstreet
Hi. imho you need at least a four footer to keep a cplony of these guys. The aggression factor is much too high for a two footer.
noyd
Not really, I think calling these guys too aggressive is wrong... from what I seen so far they barely even chase each other, they get along well 98% of the time.
Sutalleco
i think Exile was talking about trets, and i dont even think 1 tret could even go in a 2 fter, they can reach 6 or 7 inches, and are pretty active swimmers...and i have heard that 1 pair od trets will easily completely take over a 55 gallon killing all tankmates, and even in a 6 fter you can only have few fast tough tankmates with a pair...they can be really nasty little fish.one thing thats interesting is that they feed on snails :
