Bradc
Could i keep 2 black calvus in a hap and peacock tank thats 720 litres? Also as my big tank is only just in the build stage would i be able to keep 2 in a smaller tank that im using as a grow out tank. It has small mbuna in there as well but the calvus will be about half o body length bigger then the smallest calvus ? Might be a silly question but having trouble finding compatability for black calvus and i really dont want a species tank of them as of now. TangmanSam
I can't see an issue if your water is hard enough, kh and gh around 10-15 and if you introduce the calvus at a decent size. In my experience they handle themselves well, providing they have rock work caves to reside in.
300Magnum
I have a black calvus and gold comp in my 125G (with peacocks and haps). Both have been in there for more than 12 months and are doing great....they more than hold their own and have great colour and condition.
Bradc
Hey guys sorry for the late reply. Ive had them in my tank sonce the post with mbuna and haps and the mbuna chase most things but dont even bother with the calvus like they're invisible. I am over the moon with them and are thinking of setting up a species tank of them .. what tank size would i be looking at if i was to go this path? A 3ft tank would house 6 pretty comfortable?
