Pugster88
Hi All, I've had this fish for a quite a few years now and looking to get rid of it as it is too big for my tank now. However, I am not too sure how to correctly describe it. It kinda looks like a Green Texas or possibly a hybrid between a Green Texas and Severum? The body shape resembles a severum. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Lee
Link2Hell
H Lee I think you have answered your own question the colouration is Texas but the head seems too round as far as shape goes you can't tell but if you say it has Severum shape then your guess of Texas x Severum would be on the money
Buccal
Some people hybridize green Texas and blood parrots which gives it that Severum appearance around the nose and roundish body shape,, but that's more blood parrot than Severum look,,, I think blood parrots have Severum in them. But purpose of crossing the B.parrot and Escondido super green Texas, was to produce just a few out of thousands (Red Texas). Heeaps of bi-product gets generated.
