Chuckmeister
Does anyone know how safe it is to house a Panaqolus (L397) with a Hypancistrus (L270)?

mac
They will be Ok extremly unlikely to breed with each otherHypancistrus will cross with each other most cross breeds in Aust are L066 * L333Panaqolus will eat your plants so be prepared.Hypancistrus have a higher protein requirement so I would keep them seperatlygood luck with the tank whatever you decide to doCheers Mac
Chuckmeister
Thanks Mac I ended up getting some L168 Dekeyseria brachyura. I read they were good on algae and plants were fairly safe. I dropped them in and they went straight to work. They were not shy at all. Really enjoyable fish to watch.I also put in a few L397. They are a little more discrete around the tank. When you say they eat plants, do you know if they just nibble or are they plant eating machines?Any opinion on these 2 crossing also?
mac
Again the crossing of these two extremly unlikelyAs for your plants I would take some cuttings of your favorite and most expensiveMy 397's went to town on my plants when I first stated now they live in a driftwood tank.Good luck and let us know how they go.
