anponee
Hi everyone!!!Was wondering which size coral pieces are best suited for filtration???I've previously used the 3cm-5cm pieces in my sump, but now need to set up another sump and only have the gravel sized pieces (0.3cm-0.5cm)...Which is best suited for filtration benefits???Thanks in advance!!! anponee
Just had a quick glance in the shed, and it's 0.3cm-0.8cm (if that makes a difference)
Ged
You can use the current crushed coral that you have by double bagging it stockings or placing it in a commercial filter bag.The larger size coral piece will be less prone to becoming clogged with detritus than the fine crushed coral but the bagging will assist with maintenance.
