Josh
Put an add up in the classifieds and someone should have. I used escargot shells for my Multies and have a box in storage somewhere but couldn't put my hands on them any time soon. Sometimes they turn up on eBay. shamrock4life01
I got all my shells today at the op shop, they were 2.50 for a variety bag. So I got about 16 largeish shells. Some snail shells, some long twisty ones etc. All with large enough hole for multies... any opshop or 2 dollar shop should have something=)
shamrock4life01
As an aside im a little miffed because I bought and boiled all these nice shells and they seem to prefer the texas holey rock=(
Josh
Most shell for decoration purposes would have been treated with products to protect and preserve the shell. I wouldn't use them in a tank, they may end up harming your fish.
shamrock4life01
Wouldn't shells simply have a buffering effect like coral sand or texas holey rock? I boiled the crap out of my shells for an hour then soaked em in prime. Before adding to tank
