benno
I usually soak in boiling water for a while then soak in a collapsible bucket outside for a few weeks giving it a scrub and changing the water every few days. Once its not clouding the water or leaving sediment anymore I soak for a couple moure days in water with a reasonably heavy dose of prime then add to the tank. I do this for rocks and driftwood to make sure no nasties get into my tank.
Aggersberg
Now thats taking precaution! I hosed mine down for a few hours and added it during a water change and added some extra prime - so far so good
shamrock4life01
I only soaked mine for a couple hours. That was after I attacked it with a sledge hammer to get the pieces to a more manageable size. Everything sweet so far=)
krellious
Set up a spare tank. Add some crappy fish. If they die you habe issues if they live for a few daysall good. Used this method for holey and normmal rocks
