Mr.Lee
Hey fellas,Was wondering if this would be ok in a 4x1.5x1.5 for a while before i moved the nigripinnis to their own 5ft. There is 18 nigripinnis at around 5-8cm and 11 duboisi 'maswas', will this setup be ok for a month or 2, the duboisi are nearing breeding size and dont seem to show very much aggression. was just curious to what u guys thought.thanks in advance lee
griffin
This could be OK for the short term - so long as the duboisi stay nice and don't hassle the nigripinnis. Nigripinnis are very placid and get stressed easily with boisterous fish. Make sure you give them some tall rock piles to cling to, it'll make them feel safer. The other problem you have is feeding - tropheus needing a vege based low protein diet, nigripinnis would prefer something with a little more protein. However, nigripinnis will do very well on a diet of spirulina and brine shrimp - you could feed the tank along these lines, just be very cautious with the brine shrimp and don't overdo it - the tropheus will cope with small amounts but large feeds of brine shrimp could cause bloat.Cheers,Jess and Julian
anchar
Hi, I agree with Jess and Julian - beware of the Tropheus chasing the Nigripinnis.merjo
Mr.Lee
HEY,How long do u guys think this situation will be able to last? i would also be able to place them in their own 1mx1.5x1.5 tank, if u think this would be better. thanks for replies!lee
