Cloudy Water

Spils

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

New to the forum. I did try and find an introduction thread however couldnt.... I had been keeping African Cichlids for a few years (in particular Tangs), but due to work, moving around etc I packed my tank up.

Recently I bought an AquaOne AquaReef 195 and after cycling and popping fish in havent had any real issues until recently (Tank has been running for 7 weeks). The water is extremely cloudy, almost a milky white colour. Im only feeding once a day, and water parameters seem fine. Any ideas on what the issue could be?

Its most likely a bacterial bloom, sorry but i dont know of any cures/fixes for this, although there doubtless would be. water changes to reduce the amount of nitrites and nitrates would be a good place to start.
