Spils
Hey all,New to the forum. I did try and find an introduction thread however couldnt.... I had been keeping African Cichlids for a few years (in particular Tangs), but due to work, moving around etc I packed my tank up.Recently I bought an AquaOne AquaReef 195 and after cycling and popping fish in havent had any real issues until recently (Tank has been running for 7 weeks). The water is extremely cloudy, almost a milky white colour. Im only feeding once a day, and water parameters seem fine. Any ideas on what the issue could be?Tank specs / Fish / Water ParametersTank:195L Cube50L Sump (3600Lph)Internal Otto 800LphRunning 7 weeks nowWater:pH 8.8Amm 0.0ppmNitrite 0.25ppmNitrate 5ppmkH 14dkHFish:12 A. cooder
Its most likely a bacterial bloom, sorry but i dont know of any cures/fixes for this, although there doubtless would be. water changes to reduce the amount of nitrites and nitrates would be a good place to start. E4G13M4N
Seems to be pretty common in Adelaide at the moment, most likely though that its a bacterial bloom as suggested as the tank is still cyclingalso what food are you using as that sometimes be an issue as well..
