nanny
My tank has been great for over 9 months. After the last clean and water change the water became cloudy (white) and i believed that if it was bacterial, i should let it run its course. It has been a week now and not only does it appear to be getting worse but i think my fish are now getting very itchy and appear to have white marks on them. Any suggestions please! E4G13M4N
Do you know what your water parameters are tank size occupants etc, cloudiness can be caused by so many different things so more info is really needed
firthy13
More info is needed. But if I were you I would do a water change while the source of the problem is being identified.
Link2Hell
sounds like it could be a bacteria bloom as that can turn a tank milkywhat filtration do you runI'm guessing you did a filter clean when you water changed and possibly1.)didn't put any of the old filter wool back to kick the bacteria off with the new media2.)cleaned the filter too clean and lost the bacteria3.)bothdo you have any test kits to confirm water parameters ?if the fish are flashing off substrate or rocks there is somethingirritating them possibly the levels of ammonia that could be presentare the white marks from where they are scratching or is it the onsetof white spotdo you have any pics of the fish you could post as this would help
