Likoma
Gidday people of the forum,I have finally put together a video of my rift valley system. I have just purchased a new 700l tank that doesn't feature ion the video.I will be running it using the hamburg matten filter system to see how effective that system really is. Enjoyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzVDQyXqBM0
mattrox
Nice selection of fish! Matten filters work well. My advice is to syphon behind the sponge filter to help pull the gunk through every now and then. This will keep the sponge from clogging up. They work well for me but I only run them in 3ft tanks. Water is usually clean, up until the sponge fills up.

Ged
Great setup. How big or small is the Cichlid scene in NZ?
Priscacara
Great vid, the fish look great! I like the foam seperators in your fry tank, not seen that before.
Likoma
Great setup. How big or small is the Cichlid scene in NZ?Not that big at all. Its a constant battle to find and acquire new bloodlines of the species on the allowed list. At the moment i have two gene pools, maybe distant cousins, of each species that I own. I hope to strengthen the bloodlines with imported stock over time. That is all dependent on how well the Poret Foam sells in NZ.
