Josh
Hi AllHere is the best way to destroy a Hi-blow 80 in two days. Expesive lesson, first I didnt realise it was my hp80, its been in a box for two years, and then I didnt bleed off enough air. I guess it was due for a rebuild anyways?Basically blew one diaphragm, striped out two aluminum washes, pulled the safety nut of its thread and chipped one magnet.....not to mention it got real hot! Ged
I suppose it helped that you knew what it was at the start.
Josh
I have two of these, I thought both where 40lph pumps . The pump also has a big "HI-BLOW 80" on the top of it too. I was only running 6 sponge filters off it......
Aquaholic
You could probably run 60 sponges off it. Or could have. Ouch!

Josh
I used to run my whole room off a 40, this was a back-up pump, the 40 is pumping away now and I am bleeding off plenty of air
