Hi Andrew

Clay is the best material to use as its natural but you have to make sure you dont use glazes for color it must be a oxide as its a natural product that dosent contain anything that will bleach into the tank and kill your fish and it must be fired to at least 1100 dg most of the over seas caves like the D shapes after a few years they start to break down thats becouse to make them cheaper they get fired to around 800 dg and once they have been in the water for a few years they start to go soft , i make a hole range in shapes and sizes and i also do custom work as long as you tell me what you are after if you have any questions contact me and i will help you out .

Cheers

Lionel
