noxious_nasties
It's funny how big those rocks looked when they were outside yet that tank makes them look small. When are the fishies going in? John

1hopper09
Hey Mark That’s a very very smart setup you have and your list of fish is a fantastic choice too.Good luck with it and some up to date pictures with the fish would be great too.Cheers Rob
malawi sand diver
Hi MarkIMO, you should put some of the larger Malawi haps in there - ones like Fossorochromis Rostratus, Lichnochromis Acuticeps, Buccochromis, Mylochromis, Rhampochromis, Champsochromis etc. Big tank = capacity to have big fish. IMO it would look good with a couple of tank busters in there.Regards, Rob
obsessed1
well thats a list of my mish mash now what goes in the ten footer ?? im open to suggestions. Well you've spent the time and cash on an awesome set up. You should keep up the great planning and wisdom, so therefore the only option would be to put in Tangs! Did someone say Tropheus??I'm sure everyone on this forum would agree that Tangs are the only way to go to accentuate the quality of your set up! noxious_nasties
Forget tropheus... go for furcifers. I can just imagine how the males would be in a tank this size and the size of their bowers. Then you can have some cyps, paracyps etc to add to the tank. That would be my dream display. markfnq
thanks guys, i have all these malawis laying around so i might have to make do for a short while !! dont get me wrong i have been doing plenty of window shoppingand there is some awesome tangs and tankbusters out there .and yes it would be my dream to have a tang tank but being in cairns is hard everthing needed to be shipped including the tank. so the hobby of burning money !whoops!! i ment fishkeeping can get a bit expensive up here. i just spent $600 on some fish to be sent up from brisbane and there is not alot on the order . had an add in the classifiedsunder wanted but didnt get many lookers. the only decent shop is 4 hours away .so its slim pickings up here. i only lucked coming across the cop.borleyi colony so i grabbed it.i prowl the forumsfor good stock but [ A.] it needs to be shipped there needs to be enough of it to warrent shipping costs . so i think all you southern folk should send all your nice tangs up to us poor hillbillys in the north .lol . take care all ! regard........... mark . P.S.......... thanks to all those who aswered all my dumb questions and gave advice to get the beast up and running

fishfreek73
just a few progress pics . tanks half full , happy with the rockscape.just been working on my background, got the base coat on .wasnt happy with the sample panelsso im trying something different. it will be outside the tank for now too much hassle to have it inside, it can be epoxy coated and placed in the tank at a later date. i have found there is no need for sand and cement mix, provided its coated with epoxy if it goes in the tank. have found a couple of good ingredientsto get great effects and keeps it lightweight. will post a full tank shot soon. cheers.... mark
