MelbBill
Pelvicachromis roloffi has not been seen in the Victorian hobby for many years. Suddenly my LFS advertises two pairs available for sale at a reasonable price. On quiziing the LFS, they claim that Pelvicachromis roloffi were bought from "someone" in Sydney who is a breeder of them. These "kribs" (as I will call them for now) are a beautiful looking fish especially when the females are in full breeding colouration. Just they seem to have a little two much yellow on them for my recollection of Pelvicachromis roloffi. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can cast some light on them. If not I will keep them as "kribs", attempt to breed them and sacrifice some offspring to get them identified.

Rod54
Be very nice if they are roloffi...... Are you sure they aren't Pelvicachromis subocellatus??? They are about and could be confused with images of roloffi I've seen on the web
MelbBill
Definitely not suboccelatus - these are fairly common in Melbourne. Well the mystery deepens
