gianniz Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 hi my spiny peacock eel been in my community tank for about 1 1/2 years and for last 6months he's been inside the sand and only has it's nos e out and haven't moved!! yesterday i decided to poke him out and from the external looks, it looks fat and healthy and moving really well. I did give him some freezed dried black worm and he ate a little but after that he disappeared into the sand again! has anyone noticed similar behavour? or is this fish sick? E4G13M4N Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Still on the allowable import list as far as i know, but AQUIS wont allow them in until importers can prove they are not hybrids, a few other fish have been stopped for the same reason. And as you say he's fat so eating well Dont you see these guys in a tank with no sand so you can see them in the shops. They love to sit in the sand with only head out.
