fry_2_buy
G'day everyone, Just wanted some peoples suggestions as to what causes cichlids eyes to get slightly cloudy. I have two in a heavily stocked tank that now have this and am worried that its due to too much agression. It is only on one of their eyes and is not cloudy cloudy but more like a scrape. I am pretty sure it is from another fish as there are damaged scales showing too, not disease looking. If it is because of aggression, what can I do to help these fish recover? Cheers, John
Josh
Could be from aggression, could be from getting scratched on something, could be an infection. Would need to know more info or see a picture to give a better answer. Josh
akroyd
It can be caused by low alkalinity, i.e. kH.
Symphy
If the tank has rock work, I would move it around every few wks till they adapt, I have found that it does work sometimes! You should get a dither fish which is more of a help tho! Regards Ahmed
