Jebao Canister Filters?

Barracuda

Recommended Posts

Anyone use this brand?

Apparently they are made in the same factory that produce eheim - supposedly being of the same quality - but a LOT cheaper.

I am planning it to use it as a second filter with my fluval 405 (1300 l/h) in my 320L tank. Thinking of either adding the Jebao 304 (1200l/h) or the Jebao 103 (1500l/h) - what tank size is each recommened for? (cannot find much info on them).

First of all, would you recommend me getting a second filter, and if so, which one?

Can anyone recommend/not this brand of canister filter?

Thanks

From my personal experience, i would like to filter the water,4 to 5 times per hour.

So i would say a tank of 320litres,1200 to 1500Lph is adequate.

jebao, jebo, aquanova and resun i think are all pretty similar in quality.

if you buy them new. you have warranty anyway from the store usually.

so just depends on size of the cannister you want (3 or 4 trays) and wat media your going to use in it.

Hi Barra,

I can vouch that the jeboa filters are of good quality. I have a 1500L one running on my main tank (360L approx) and its coping fine. The tank is overstocked but it still keeps up with the fishes filtering needs. It has probably been running in my tank for at least 3-4 years now too.

I've had a good run with all filters. Ive had from eheim to the chinese brands and all have coped well...

If you have the warranty go for it.. But be weary and careful how you handle the canister considering some are flimsy!
