sofiko
I've got two AC110's, one running on each of my 4x18x18. Highly recommend them. Always had crystal clear water. Very silent running. Heaps of water turnover (1800 lph). Very easy to clean and you could put any media you want in them or just stay with what media comes with it. Low power usage (20 watts, from memory)
pride
do a good job but need regular maintenance/ cleaning or the props become very noisy.
kilroy
Good points:- * Easy to prime and clean * Good turnover for the wattage (20W as stated) * Polish the water very well Bad points:- * Not great with a sand substrate, particularly if you have fish that spit sand around. Motor will sieze fairly easily if sand gets into the impeller. * Not designed to go on tanks with more than a couple of cm of bracing. On my tanks I had to cut away some of the plastic to get them to fit.
wolvo23
Yes good point i measured my tank and it will just fit on, so for that size tank stocked with around 20 demasoni will it do the job you think?
kilroy
I always have two types of filtration in case one fails. The impellers will stop if the filter needs maintenance, so I would either add a small canister or another HOB. The 110's don't hold a lot of media, and I'm not sure they would support the bioload of 20 demasoni, particularly once they are adult size.
