AzFish
Hello, I've been playing with this idea for awhile now I've got two broken 3fters which are staring at me saying join me together and make me a sump I figure, its a sump so the baffles will brace the tank and provided I glass up were the seams where, it should be OK, right??!! Or am I kidding myself and no amount of bracing will stop the tank from breaking where it's joined? At the end of the day, the two tanks are broken so breaking them more is not a huge deal
genetik_defekt
it is do-able in my opinion, depending on how high the water level is going to sit within the tanks themselves. Althought you would probably find just buying a second hand tank would be alot easier an not that costly.
Josh
I agree A cheapo second hand tank wouldnt be much more then the cost of the silicone to do the job Josh
LetsTryOneMoreTime
How about getting the cheapy tank... then using the cracked tanks to build the baffles...? That way you're not wasting any glass...
