Mattnshez
Mattnshez, What the flow rate through these filters? Is it just controlled by the hose pressure? the flow rate is governed by the filter housing to 11 lpm with a temperature range of 4deg to 40deg suitable for cold water use only hth Matt ps i will have to check the accuracy of that claim because i believe it to be much higher that that , being it does not take me a minute to fill a 20 ltr bucket so i will look into it for you
moldyform
Another Q. (this is getting interesting) What size type do you use/reconmend? Ive had a look at the link you posted and there seems to be many varieties which filter out various substances. Cheers

oakes
I do exactly the same thing its so easy, but when I fill my tank back up i have to use a bucket cause I use 20 degree water from the tap, do any of you guys just use cold water from the hose for water changes? Yes but only in summer when the 'cold' water is not so cold. In winter i resort to buckets to which i add some hot water. Agers are not an issue for me as i have only rainwater. moldyform
Just use one of these filters Mattnshez uses and then you can use water from the tap and crank it to the desired temp. Mattnshez, i expect there would be pluming which would easly connect these filters to a conventional house tap or washing machine out let fitting?? Mattnshez
yeah any local plumbing supplies should be able to help you with that either temporary connection with poly pipe or a permanent install with copper either way is just as easy Matt
