ViS
Nice shots I love the depth of field on the lorikeet too. Also if that magpie was sitting on the closest post it would have been a ripper

kilroy
I take it they are all from your own? What type of camera do you have? The headstone one reminds me of when I did a photography course, and we took photo's of headstones as a depth of field exercise. It gave me the chills! Very noice shots indeed! Matty
I like the first and third pics most. Wonder what they'd look like with a PS radial blur?
YeW
Feel free to find out Matty . The photos are mine and were taken on either my Canon 350D or my Olympus 5050z. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments .

fiona
Those first three photos are cactus! I like the one with the fence and the mist. I am quite happy to have the magpie further into the photo - I didn't take the magpie as the focus, but one arrives at it and the other elements as the eye roves around - the fence leads the POV inwards, and having the magpie on the front post may have the effect of arresting that inwards movement. YeW
thanks to everyone for the kind remarks. With respect to that magpie, sadly he wasnt well trained and refused to hope from post to post when I asked him :lol. I think the worst aspect of photo 8 is that I cut off the tops of the trees.... oh well - next time. Rat - yes, I'm looking forward to some flower photography.
