yes it's float my idea is it happens with W/C because there used to living deep in the lake and when there in aquariums there not at the same depth so i think it's better to feed fronts sinking pellets more so with wild caughts just my thoughts.

aren't sinking pellets better for fronts - gulping air or some such problem?

Thats true Ash its better for Frontosa if the food sinks. They do suffer from a problem with air in there swim blader and it seems to happen when they gulp air. I have also seen them chew on airstones I used to turn the airstone of in tanks that had Frontosa in them.

yup the same thing happens with my shell dwellers which in nature would also probably not feed at the water's surface. but like most theories with this hobby this will vary from fish to fish. my multis used to have this prob but dont anymore and 2 of my 5 occies have problems eating at the surface so i chose to sink the food because by the time they have expelled the air bubble feeding time is long over :(
