D6C1
I've been having a look at home-made food and I want to try making some at home for my arowana and devils. Any special mixes or additives? Beef heart? Prawns? Prawn shells? Vegies?
wui39
Tiny shrimp works for me. Has great smell and is high in protiens. Shells aren't a issue as they already come deshelled.
emp1re
it get pretty mess making home - made food for tankbusters plus they eat alot , so i don't even bother. but i do breed live foods for them, such speckled feeders and crickets i alway feed my shrimp with the shell on, because the shell contain nature colour enhancer. other food i used are hikari food stick, fresh white bait, fresh austrialian river shrimp, goldfish , speckled feeder and cricket. OziOscar
You might like to put some nori (Japanese toasted / dried seaweed, used for making sushi) in with the meaty stuff to give them some vegetable material. I found that adding some gelatine to the mix helped it stay together nicely, well, long enough to be wolfed down. Cheers - OziOscar.
