Electric_Blue
Hey is it only the male gourami that will construct a buble nest cause my one dwarf (red and blue stripes) gourami has done this and I want to know if I need to get a female or male. And is there any way to sex this common variety of fish?
Skippy
If your fish has red and blue stripes then it will be a male. The females are relatively plain silver fish with very faint stripes, they aren't very common is most LFS for that reason.
Ps. Saulosi Girl
My male fighting fish built bubble nests all the time. I use to place a half styrofoam cup on the surface to contain the bubbles and placed a female in there and they did their thing. I had never seen something like it ever.
