CThompson
I have same size tank and use a 2x2x2 sump, cant remember what the pump is but it keeps it crystal clear. Only problem I have is catching fish out of it! Have just had to take out a heap of rock but still trying to redesign it to make it easier for me. Any secret techniques for this size tank? ← Two things you can do, spotlight the fish at night time (assuming they are not in the rocks), and secondly, trap the fish out. There are two sorts of traps, one you can make with soft drink bottles, or purchase some (they’re cheap) from a tackle store. The other sort is similar to the one made with soft drink bottle, but instead of having reducing neck/entrance, it is completely open at one end, with a sliding door controlled by a length of fishing line. Fish goes in, let go of the line, door slides shut and fish is caught. Both traps have their pros and cons, sometimes one works to catch out one species, but doesn’t work on another.
