anchar
Hi guys, Went on a very enjoyable BBQ the other week and thought I'd share some pictures taken on and from Pt. Walter.... Walking out onto the sand bar Looking back to the "mainland" Looking south towards Fremantle Taken from the end of the sand bar looking back towards the main beach Dusk...such a great day that we all stayed and ordered in some fish and chips It's funny how you can live somewhere all your life and take local attractions for granted. I'm so glad I took the time to walk along the sand bar (btw. it is much longer than you think when you first step out onto it ) Andrea

fman
Andrea You didn't just use this outing as an excuse to look for buried treasure did you? The walk along the riverfront on the Point Walter side towards Freo is also very nice. Cheers, Frank

anchar
Well Jamie...part of the family made it here Hoges...I haven't been to the Freo markets for years...something else that I should do again. A long time ago you could get the freshest, cheapest fruit and veg around but it has become more commercialised now unfortunately From memory it was filled with "novelty" stalls and lots of clothes sellers....it has lost it's appeal for me. Maybe when I return I will be pleasantly surprised Andrea
hoges
I haven't been there for years either, I got my hat about 6 years ago from memory! We also got some really nice fish from there that we took down to the waterfront and BBQ'ed... I can't remember much else, but I still have my hat
