Barca888
Hi, I know the importance of keeping the water circulating thru your filter sponge where all your beneficial bactera are. I however also enjoy a good nights sleep. My internal power filter in my 40 l in my room is quite loud and annoying ;\. When there was only 2 fish in the tank i used to turn it off at night and proceed to turn it on in the morning. I know this is rather silly but i have not lost a fish in this tank for years. Was the only thing saving me from a disaster the lack of fish numbers? or can the bacterial colony last for more than a few hrs without sufficient oxygen? Even though i now keep it running 24/7 coz i have 20 labs in there i still find it interesting that i had no fatalities back then. Thanks Peter
